The family-friendly Soda with Santa event has returned to Sprecher Brewery for the 2022 holiday season.

In fact, due to popular demand and sold-out dates, this year Sprecher Brewery is adding a new weekday Soda with Santa for the first time, taking place on Thursday, Dec. 15, from 3-7 p.m.

The tradition – which combines photos with Santa, a brewery tour and (of course) sampling – will take place on four upcoming Sundays: Nov. 20, Nov. 27, Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and (new) Dec. 15.

The event not only allows children, adults and families to get their photos taken with Santa, but those photos are then made into custom Sprecher Root Beer labels, which can be given as gifts or kept as momentos.

How does it work?

First, guests make a reservation for a Soda with Santa Brewery Tour at noon, 1 p.m. or 2 p.m.  Guests are asked to arrive 45 minutes before their tour times to allow time for their photo with Santa.

While guests wait for their photos to be taken, they can enjoy samples of craft beer (for adults only) or soda.

When the photography session is complete, you’ll embark on your brewery tour. While you're on your tour, your photo will be magically transformed into a custom root beer label (you have a choice of two designs) and applied to as many 12-packs of 16-ounce Sprecher Root Beer bottles as you would like. Bottles can be picked up following your tour.

Reservations are required for Soda with Santa and can be made online. The cost of the tour is $12 for adults and $8 for minors (includes a commemorative glass, tour and sampling); Custom root beer bottles are $2.25 per bottle with a minimum purchase of 12 bottles per label design. Guests can also have photos emailed to them for $10 more.

Don't forget  that arrival times for photos with Santa is 45 minutes prior to the start of the brewery tour. Photos are not guaranteed for latecomers.

Personalized bottles can also be made with your own photos. Email your photos and request to customlabel@sprecherbrewery.com. Arrangements will then be made for you to pick up your customized bottles at the brewery.
