Sheridan's Finest Wines and Generous Spirits, an original tenant in the Milwaukee Public Market, is holding a storewide moving sale in anticipation of a move early next year.
Sources have confirmed that Sheridan's will move into a new development at 153 N. Broadway (Broadway and Menomonee). The official address of the new location, though, will be 330 E. Menomonee St. A source at Sheridan's said the space is "still in the design stages."
According to a company e-mail, Sheridan's is "moving and improving" so it is selling all inventory at 10 percent off. The e-mail also says that a "new name and new look" are coming.
Sheridan's is owned by Lee Barczak and Jane Schilz. They also operate the Sheridan House hotel, café and restaurant in Cudahy.
Thief Wine and Shop opened this summer in the Public Market. Vino 100 also has a Third Ward location at 102 N. Water St.
A life-long and passionate community leader and Milwaukeean, Jeff Sherman is a co-founder of OnMilwaukee.
