Have you been to Sheboygan lately? If not, you might be surprised at how diverse its dining scene has become. From upscale, chef-owned gourmet restaurants on the lakeshore to cozy, family-owned diners, it really tackles the full spectrum with full flavor.

Fun fact: Sheboygan is known as the bratwurst capital of the world, and whether or not the title is accurate might be up for debate, but you sure will find an abundance of the cased meat at the area's eateries.

Here is an updated account of what the city to the north brings to the dining table. While this list doesn't cover every last restaurant, it includes the newcomers as well as several perennial favorites.

Al & Al's Stein Haus

You'll find classic American cuisine here, but on Sundays the restaurant switches gears and offers a full German-themed buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Arabella's Restaurant
