A new partnership between Sendik’s Food Markets and UWM’s Nutritional Sciences Program will provide shoppers with nutritional information on some deli items.
Registered dietitians from UWM will provide the analyses using software donated by Sendik’s, and soon, deli items with special green checkmark signs can be scanned to access nutritional data.
The information will be available starting Wednesday, April 9, at 11 Sendik’s locations.
"This local partnership is part of our continuing effort to accommodate our guests in making informed nutritional decisions," said Ted Balistreri, co-owner of Sendik’s. "It’s important to us that our guests have the proper information to make the best choices for their families."
