FM 102/1 is teaming up with the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) to #saveourstages in Milwaukee.

The station will host a 24-hour radiothon starting Friday, July 10th at 5 p.m.
to raise funds for Milwaukee’s local independent music venues The Pabst Theater Group, The Rave/Eagles Club, Shank Hall, The Cactus Club and The Cooperage.

FM 102/1 will broadcast live from the empty stages of the venues during the radiothon. There will also be an online silent auction which will include music memorabilia donated by the venues and musicians to help raise funds.

During the radiothon, alternative music artists and local celebrities will share memories and talk about their favorite shows. Listeners are also encouraged to share their favorite concert experiences at one of these venues on social media and by using the #saveourstages hashtag.

Virtual tours of these historic venues will also be in the mix. On these stages bands like The Lumineers, Imagine Dragons, 21 Pilots, Queens of the Stone Age, Jack White, Mumford and Sons and countless others, were introduced to Milwaukeeans for the first time.

"Now it’s time to show support for these venues and their employees who have made Milwaukee an important stop for your favorite bands and comedians," reads the press release.
