The American Family Insurance Amphitheater's latest concert booking? Man, it's a hot one: Santana as well as Counting Crows are teaming up to bring their joint "Oneness" tour to the lakefront venue on Friday, July 26.
The show marks the Grammy-winning "Smooth," "Black Magic Woman," "Maria Maria" and "Oye Como Va" guitarist's first Milwaukee visit in practically a decade, last playing Brew City at the Riverside in October 2014. He was originally scheduled to make his return at the Amp along with Earth, Wind & Fire during the summer of 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that show was pushed to 2022 before getting canceled altogether due to a spat of health problems on tour.
As for Counting Crows, the "Mr. Jones" and "Round Here" hitmakers were here much more recently, playing the Miller High Life Theatre just last summer with Dashboard Confessional.
Tickets for the show – which will come with July 26 admission to German Fest, hosted at Henry Maier Festival Park that same day – will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. at Santana's website, Counting Crows' website and Ticketmaster, as well as in person at the AmFam Amp's box office. There will also, however, be a presale for Citi cardmembers running Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10 p.m. For more information on the Citi presale, click here – and for more info on the show in general, visit the Amp's website.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
