Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to head your way over to Safe House on Tuesday, Oct. 16 and rendezvous with your fellow movie-loving operatives – including Agent Yours Truly – for a special spy movie night screening of the 1976 classic "Marathon Man." 

For those who've never seen the Dustin Hoffman/Lawrence Olivier thriller, here's the full dossier. Directed by John Schlesinger ("Midnight Cowboy") and written by Hollywood icon William Goldman ("All the President's Men," "The Princess Bride," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"), this paranoid thriller follows run-loving history grad Babe (Hoffman) who unwittingly gets trapped in a deadly spy game involving a bag of priceless diamonds and a Nazi war criminal (Olivier in an Oscar-nominated turn) thanks to his rogue spy brother (Roy Scheider, "Jaws").

It's an absurdly intense, powerfully paranoid and suburbly acted thriller that definitely holds up – and will definitely have you think twice about your next dentist appointment. 

The screening begins at 6 p.m. at Safe House, complete with a post-screening conversation about the film. And yes, Game 4 of the NLCS between the Brewers and Dodgers is Tuesday night as well, but the screening will end by 9 p.m. at the latest, and the game doesn't start until a little after 8 p.m., so we'll make sure you get out in time to see most of the game. 

So sneak out Tuesday night, snack on some tasty food and see a great movie – perfect for the spy-centric Safe House and perfect for the horror-heavy Halloween season.

There's no question you should be there. The only question you should ask yourself is: Is it safe?
