The Milwaukee County Transit System reminds riders that it will modify service on Route 40 (Holt-College Flyer) due to the temporary closure of the Collage Avenue Park-Ride Lot that begins Thursday.
Route 40 buses will temporarily be picking up passengers at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) Student Lot B, which can be accessed by taking South Howell Avenue to East Jewell Avenue. In addition to the MATC lot, the Route 40 will continue to serve the Ryan Road Park-Ride Lot.
During this time, destination signs on the front of outbound buses will now read "MATC SOUTH / RYAN."
The MATC South Park-Ride Lot will also serve summer festivals previously served by the College Park-Ride Lot. Passengers can catch a flyer to Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, Festa Italiana, German Fest, and Irish Fest from the MATC South Park-Ride Lot.
Since March 30, Route 40 has only served the Ryan and College Park-Ride Lots. Service to the Holt Park-Ride Lot was transferred to Route 47 (S. 27th St. Flyer). Route 40U (Holt-College U-Bus) does not run during the summer months.
