Two Milwaukee restaurants closed recently, and a third will serve its last meal this Sunday.
Good Life, 1935 N. Water St., taped a sign to its door reading, "Effective 11/03/09 Good Life restaurant is closed to the public and will no longer be open for business."
The letter goes on to thank all of its customers during the past three years of business and to sarcastically "thank" the City of Milwaukee, the Department of Transportation and the Lundra Construction Company for it's "timely construction" and "GREAT work."
Cornby’s, 724 N. Water St., closed last week, too. According to a source, the owners hope to open a new restaurant in Waukesha within the year.
"There’s just not enough traffic in Downtown Milwaukee," says the source.
Finally, Pandl’s in Bayside, 8825 N. Lake Dr., will serve it last brunch on Sunday. According to a server, the restaurant that opened in 1968 was sold to a rabbi and will reopen soon as a synagogue.
