Replay Sports Bar, located in the old Oriental Drugs space at 2238 N. Farwell Ave., is still open and a representative says the bar is negotiations with its landlord, New Land Enterprises, to remain open for the long term.  Yet, the space is being marketed as available for a new restaurant.

Speculation is that bar could close at the end of March after the big March Madness basketball season concludes.

"We are currently in lease discussions with New Land and remain hopeful that we can resolve our negotiations in the very near term. In the meantime, Replay is open for business and we’re looking forward to the always exciting upcoming NCAA Tournament season," said Abby Lutgen, marketing manager for the Roaring Fork Restaurant Group that operates Replay and several Qdoba Mexican Grills.

Tim Gokhman of New Land Enterprises, the owner of the building, confirmed that the space is being marketed. And, it’s listed on loopnet.com with this description: "Spectacular corner restaurant on one of the busiest intersections on Milwaukee's East Side. Lots of glass, outdoor patio, 10' ceilings."

The restaurant and bar before Replay, Twisted Fork, dished up its finale fare on Sunday, Sept. 12. 2010.

The nearly 7,000-square foot space should attract some good interest.

If it’s indeed time for what’s next at this iconic East Side corner, what are your thoughts and ideas for this space?
