I'm writing from heaven. I went straight to heaven without passing "go" or death, for that matter.
Some people may tell you that you can reach heaven by moral behavior or praying the Rosary three times a day. Here's a shortcut:
Heaven is located at 237 N. East St. in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Earth House has a piano and projector, did I say that I'm in heaven? Yes, you get the point, right?
The show was great, I was happy to see friendly faces from last time, and meet new people as well. The stage was a good stomping stage, and people were very engaged with the interactive percussion segments. Fun!
Crashed at my friend Missy's house, who fixed herself a brat in beer at 1 a.m. I felt strangely comforted.
Woke up eager to have some private time with the baby grand in Earth House's ballroom. Ended up writing a Fourth Movement for Pedestrian Drama. Before it felt like it was ending on a pessimistic note. Now it feels more calm and resolved at the end. I happened to be recording video during the writing/jam session (was trying to capture the light from stained glass windows)... if you take these two rough piano sketches and put them together, this is now the ending of the piece. It's typical of the writing process for Pedestrian Drama, a series of themes or puzzle pieces that fit together, revealing a common, universal tale of human experience.

I'm thinking of collaborating with an ensemble/orchestra to push it. The video piece will either be modified to accommodate the new segments, or dance will be added for this conclusion. I'm leaning toward a solo modern dancer.
In any case, things are looking up, I got some great news about future bookings, looking forward to April. And everything between.
If I died today, it'd be cool with me. I feel ok.
