I get my share of parking tickets, and I pay them. But Boston has a creative way to pay tickets and it's one that I think Milwaukee and area communities should consider.
The idea is simple. Payment of December parking tickets in toys, not cash. Especially during the Christmas and Holiday season, this seems like a no-brainer and idea that should be implemented.
Of course parking ticket revenue is important, but aren’t smiles on kids who may not get toys this season more important?
I’ve planted this "Toys for Tickets" idea with Mayor Barrett, and a staff person in his office says they "like the idea." Let’s see if and when it can be implemented.
