P&H Mining Equipment Inc. (P&H) raised over $115,000 in support of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity during a two-week employee giving campaign this July.
P&H employees contributed over $57,000 to the campaign and their gifts were matched dollar-for-dollar by P&H, a worldwide leader in manufacturing, servicing and distributing equipment for surface mining.
Proceeds from the campaign will support the construction of new Habitat homes in Milwaukee.
"Milwaukee Habitat is thrilled to have the financial support from all levels of P&H employees," said Milwaukee Habitat executive director Brian Sonderman. "This new partnership is unprecedented and is a true example of how companies can partner with Milwaukee Habitat to have a tremendous impact in the community."
The company is also providing full sponsorships for the construction of four homes during Milwaukee Habitat's next Blitz Build week, Sept. 12-16. Beyond providing financial support for the homes built in September, more than 60 P&H employees are scheduled to volunteer in the construction during the Blitz.
"Part of our community focus is to support organizations that strengthen the neighborhoods that surround P&H and Habitat is a leading organization in building stronger communities," said Randy Baker, P&H president and COO.
