Last night, I was watching the Brewers game and FS Wisconsin's Brian Anderson asked viewers what position Prince Fielder would play if he was a football player. I'm not sure what spot won the poll, but fullback seemed to me like the best answer. Prince always struck me as having a William Henderson-esque physique.
This morning, I was talking to my colleague, Drew Olson, who does a little work with Brewers TV, and he told me that he'll fill in for Telly Hughes for Sunday's game. I told him it was low pressure, since most Wisconsin sports fans will be watching the Packers instead of a now meaningless Brewers game.
Then, I ran across an ad on Brewers.com for a new crop of team hats. When I saw the green and gold Brewers "crossover cleanup hat," I had a silly idea. We've all seen people wearing Packers jerseys to Brewers games (I hate that), but let's say your loyalty truly is divided some Sunday afternoon in the fall.
Why not wear this Packers' themed Brewers hat and a Packers jersey that reads Fielder #28 on it? At the very least, it would get some chuckles. At its best, it would blow some peoples' minds (like my first impression of that hat).
Funny idea? Maybe. Been tried before? I haven't seen it. Am I gonna do it? Nope.
But if you do, let me know how it works out.
You don't even have to give me credit for the idea.
