The Pabst Milwaukee Brewery street festival – hitting Juneau Avenue on Saturday, May 13 from 1 to 9 p.m. – already had a killer lineup of local music when it was announced last month. And yet today, the new brewery somehow managed to make it even better, adding the Grammy-winning alt/hip-hop group Arrested Development to its festival lineup. 

Fronted by Milwaukee native and Rufus King High School grad Todd "Speech" Thomas, Arrested Development exploded into popularity in the early '90s, earning critical raves for its debut album, "3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of ... " The group went on to be named Rolling Stone's Band of the Year in 1993, provide an original song for the Spike Lee film "Malcolm X" and win two Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. 

"Our lineup reinforces our commitment to the future of Pabst with a special nod to the past," said Pabst Brewing Director of Special Events Shira Yevin, in a press release. "We are thrilled to celebrate our grand opening with Milwaukeeans from all walks of life."

Arrested Development rounds out the street festival's loaded lineup, packed with local performers including IshDARR, New Age Narcissism, D'Amato, Abby Jeanne, Hugh Masterson of Hugh Bob & The Hustle and the Madison-based pop punk group Masked Intruder. The event will also showcase an art gallery, live paintings from Canvas, special commemorative one-time-only t-shirts, games, activities, food and – of course – plenty of beer from Pabst's shiny new Milwaukee brewery. 

The festival will take place on Juneau Avenue between 10th and 11th Streets, as well as the adjoining area of 11th Street.
