In the rare case of a Summerfest headliner un-reveal, the Big Gig announced that Ozzy Osbourne has postponed his entire 2019 tour slate – including his upcoming Fourth of July show at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

According to a release from Summerfest, the postponement is due to an injury the iconic rocker sustained while recovering from pneumonia. 

"I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates," Osbourne said in a release. "Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day … I will fully recover … I will finish my tour … I will be back!"

There is some good news: The Summerfest headlining gig isn't cancelled for good. Instead, Osbourne will return to the Big Gig next summer for a headliner show on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Current ticket holders are asked to hold onto their tickets, as they will be honored at the show next year, but refunds will be available from the original point of purchase as well. 

So silver linings: Maybe don't consider this a de-announcement for Summerfest 2019 and instead consider it the first announcement for next year's edition of the world's largest music festival.
