Milwaukee's Heather Ryan was selected as one of five finalists from a field of thousands who have joined the Oscar Mayer Good Mood Mission. By logging their good deeds on the Oscar Mayer Facebook page, they became eligible for a chance to win $100,000 to do more good in their community.
Ryan logged nearly 1,000 good deeds in total, including letting someone in a hurry have the ticket in front of her and signing up to pick up donations for a charity auction earning her place in the contest finals. Each finalist has selected a charity that will be awarded the $100,000 grant.
Oscar Mayer is asking Americans to cast their vote to help decide which charity will receive $100,000 to spread more good. People can visit Facebook.com/OscarMayer Sept. 19-25 to vote for their favorite.
