Last month, Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan announced the much-anticipated 2022 Oscar nominees, revealing the movie industry's annual surprises and snubs. But as always, the early morning announcement came with more questions than answers.
Who will win the Best Picture frontrunner showdown between "The Power of the Dog" and "CODA"? Or will the polarizing "Don't Look Up" swipe in to steal Netflix's first Best Picture win? How was "We Don't Talk About Bruno?" not nominated for Best Original Song? (Short answer: Blame Disney.) Who did I have to bribe to get Nic Cage a Best Actor nomination for "Pig"? What the heck is "Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom" – and is it actually about a yak in a classroom?
And, most importantly, where do I watch all these dang movies?
With movie-watching habits never more decentralized, scattered across seemingly dozens of screens, streaming services and beyond, we're here to help get your eyes on all of the past year's exceptional nominees. (And "Don't Look Up.") The following list, regularly updated with the latest local theatrical bookings and streaming news, gathers all of the 2022 nominees from all categories with where you can find them – whether on streaming, in theaters, rentable online or via physical media and more. So there's no reason to not be binged up for Hollywood's biggest night on Sunday. (Unless you don't want to watch "Four Good Days" in the name of merely Best Original Song, which ... fair.)
So crash on the couch or into your local movie theater like a planet-murdering asteroid and watch the Academy's picks for the past year's best. And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for predictions, postgame and more as the show gets close to "Action!"

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
