A television station in Orlando reported over the weekend that the Brewers could possibly be a candidate for relocation to Central Florida.
We'll stop here for a moment to allow you a chance to clean the coffee you just spit all over the computer screen ...
All better? It's OK, it's pretty funny.
Here's the gist: an Orlando Congressional candidate has made attracting a big league team to the land of Mickey a part of his campaign.
In his live tag following a package outlining the story (a video which, by the way, included a number of Brewers highlights), WFTV-TV reporter Mark Boyle said "one team (that) could possibly locate is the Milwaukee Brewers."
"That report is beyond hilarious," Brewers VP of communication Tyler Barnes told MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. "I needed a good laugh today, and I got it."
Sorry, buddy. Though stranger things have happened in sports, it would take a minor miracle for Orlando to pry the Brewers from Milwaukee, where owner Mark Attanasio has seen the team rise to the top-third of attendance over the last few years and has a lease at Miller Park which runs for another 20 years.
The lesson here, students: double-check your sources.
