“Common Ground”, an uplifting, feature-length documentary focused on regenerative agriculture will premiere in Milwaukee at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the Oriental Theater, 2230 N Farwell Ave.

Directed by Josh and Rebecca Tickell and narrated by Woody Harrelson, “Common Ground" presents a hopeful take on agriculture and climate change featuring pioneers of the Regenerative Movement, an approach to agriculture that relies on working with nature, rather than against it.

Throughout the film, varied perspectives and experiences contribute to the film's exploration of the interconnected issues of environmental conservation, social justice and indigenous sovereignty in the face of a rapidly changing climate.

Following the matinee, a panel discussion hosted by Beyond Organic, will focus on the power of Regenerative Farming to balance the climate and produce nutrient-dense food, while bringing our ecosystem back to life.   

The panel will feature Dr. Emmanuuel Otu, Dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences at UW-Parkside; Paul and Marisa Maggio of Starry Nights Farm in Burlington, Wisconsin; Marcus Grignon of Indigenous Think Tank Menominee Nation; and Monte Osterman, Chair of the Racine County Land/Water Conservation.
