It's Thursday and once again, we've got a couple of suggestions and tips that we want to pass along to you, our favorite readers.

Of course, we'd be remiss if we didn't recommend the OnMilwaukee.com App for the iPhone and Android. An easy to use interface lets you stay up-to-date with everything going on Milwaukee, wherever you may be. Best of all ... it's free. Download it today.

Moleskine Passions Recipe Journal -- Thing thing is a dream come true for busy but creative cooks. If you're like me, you have millions of food-stained random recipes floating around your junk drawers and just as many printed out from the Internet that get shoved in a folder. Finding the one I want means A) remembering that I actually have it and B) digging through the intimidating pile. This adorable journal is about to change all that (I just ordered it from Amazon.com yesterday.) It's divided into helpful sections like: meal planning, food calendar, food facts, measurement conversions and a huge recipe log, which is nicely separated between courses. There is tons of blank space for notes and other tips you'd want to remember the next time you prepare the dish. My favorite part? It's got that classic black elastic band keeping it neat and classy. Check out the specs here and scroll down to watch the little video, too. --Julie Lawrence

Tracking Milwaukee's "most influential" and most followed on Twitter -- Twitter is an amazing tool and has truly changed the landscape in media. We love it here at OnMilwaukee.com, and in our fine city several individuals and entities have truly leveraged the platform's power. Check out wefollow.com to see where your favorite Milwaukeeans rank. Personally, I'm a big fan of the dude at #26 on the "most influential" list. -- Jeff Sherman

The post-Lent fish fry -- Easter is over. Things have settled down a bit at your favorite place for fish, rye bread, slaw and potato pancakes. Treat yourself this week. It probably won't be as crowded as it's been in recent weeks. --Drew Olson

The homemade chips at Iron Horse -- I love the Iron Horse Hotel. And, if you haven't tried their homemade chips you are truly missing out. Thin, crispy and lightly covered with parmesan cheese, they simply fantastic. They are served as a side for your sandwich or burger at Branded, or you can order a basket. You'll love them. -- J.S.

Bucks basketball camps -- I have fond memories of attending Bucks basketball camps as a youngster and the franchise has brought them back to help kids learn the fundamentals. For $150, kids get a practice jersey and ball, a free ticket to a pre-season and regular-season home game next season and visits from current players and coaches or team alums. Check out the info at buckscamps.com. --D.O.

Koss KEB20 earbuds -- A few weeks ago, I raved about the Koss Clipper earbuds I bought for the gym. As great as they are, I needed something a little different to use at work -- something that drowns out the din of a ballpark or arena as I try to transcribe pre- or post-game interviews. Enter these dandy little ear buds. They come with three sets of cushions, allowing the speaker to fit snugly yet comfortably in the ear, creating just enough of a seal to drown out background noise. If that's not enough, they also come with an individual volume control, too. For just $24.99 (which includes the lifetime, no-questions-asked guarantee) from the Koss Factory outlet, the KEB20 are suitable for sitting at the desk, on the treadmill or anything else that requires you to listen to music or other media without being disturbed. --Andrew Wagner

Lodge Cast Iron Cookware -- When I moved into my first apartment (hard to believe it's been 14 years already) my family, naturally, gave me a ton of dishes and cookware. Most of it has long since ended up trashed, ruined or otherwise lost, but I have managed to hang onto the cast iron frying pan my great-grandmother gave me. Now that I actually know how to cook (sort of), I've tried to upgrade my equipment and stumbled across a good deal on Lodge's cast iron skillet. I couldn't be happier. Even though my ceramic-top stove isn't ideal, Lodge cookware is about the best I've come across. Sturdy and reliable, I'm fairly confident that I won't need to replace it. Ever. -- A.W.

Palmdale -- If you remember the band Letters to Cleo, you might like the vibe coming from this Southern California duo. Cleo lead singer Kay Hanley and Linus Dotson have teammed up to provide some interesting music. Check out wearepalmdale.com. --D.O.
