Queue up the summer weather. The Nomad Burger Shack officially opens today (June 15) at The Nomad World Pub, 1401 E. Brady St.

“For most Milwaukeeans the official start of summer is the festival season,” notes Nomad General Manager Gedi Haile, “But for us, it’s the reopening of our burger shack."

The Shack, which is tucked in the back of the pub’s popular East Side patio, is making its return with a smattering of delicious new menu items.

In addition to grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, brats and hot dogs, fried cheese curds and cauliflower bites, guests can look forward to new Mac Attack mac & cheese bowls featuring “thick, rich, and cheesy mac” along with optional add-ons including pulled pork, bacon and jalapeños, hot chicken, or caravan chili.  Additional items include walking tacos and the Hot Box, a jumbo order of spicy fries or tots.

Opening day at the Nomad Burger Shack will coincide with the USA vs Mexico mens’ soccer Gold Cup match along with a raffle for tickets to the next match against Jamaica at Soldier Field.

Nomad Burger Shack’s inaugural summer hours will be Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m.  Hours may be expanded as demand warrants.
