It's that special time of the year – that's right – when Netflix annually brings back the Christopher Nolan Batman movies, only to lose them again a few months later.
Yes, both "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" will return to the Big Red Streaming Monolith, in case you somehow didn't see them before or didn't catch them one of the other four times it dropped on the streaming service in the past three years.
That's not all from Hollywood coming to your streaming front door, however. You'll be able to do a Will Smith double feature with the post-apocalyptic blockbuster "I Am Legend" and the Oscar-nominated weepie "The Pursuit of Happyness" both calling Netflix home for a bit. And speaking of Oscars, you can catch up with some former nominees and winners like "Dances with Wolves," "Rain Man, "Training Day" and "Philomena" just in time for the new nominations come March. Plus, swoonfests like "Crazy Stupid Love," "Safe Haven," "Two Weeks Notice" and "Nights in Rodanthe" will flutter onto the streaming service just in time for Not Valentine's Day.
As is always, though, thanks to studios all creating their own streaming services and reclaiming most of their properties, the star here is the Netflix Originals, with Amy Poehler's latest effort in front of and behind the camera "Moxie," the crazy family film "Yes Day," a new kids cooking show courtesy of former First Lady Michelle Obama starring a waffle monster and a sentient mochi ball, a very HGTV-esque show called "Marriage or Mortgage" that will probably make me feel very poor, a new documentary on the star-studded college admissions scandal, and the Netflix standard four or five new true crime docs that'll go viral.
Between all of that and the Oscar nominees you'll want to catch up with, you should be plenty entertained during the slush-filled end of winter. Certainly beats just watching all 47 inches of snow melt here in Wisconsin!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
