After 20 years of feeding the Riverwest community and well beyond, Nessun Dorma will close, most likely temporarily, after brunch on Sunday, Nov. 1. The reason for the closing is financial strain due to COVID-19.

Owner Emily Park Sutrick posted a heartfelt message on the Riverwest neighborhood's Facebook page saying the plan is to open in the spring for patio season or sooner if they secure a loan.

"We aren't gone for good. If the grant money comes we will open back up again as soon as all PPE and training is in place. If the grant money doesn't come, we will remain closed for the winter season until we can welcome all of you on to our patio again," says Park Sutrick.

In the post, Park Sutrick goes on to thank other businesses and her employees for their dedication and support for the beloved pub and restaurant. She is also looking for places to donate her perishables.

Nessun Dorma will be open next Wednesday through Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for brunch and from 5 to 9 p.m. for dinner and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
