I was excited to hear about a new Peruvian restaurant is opening in Milwaukee, because I am still lamenting the loss of El Tondero which closed last year.

Juan Luvena moved to Milwaukee from Peru a year ago, and he hopes to open a Peruvian sandwich shop, Mr. Sebass, by July. The address of the new eatery is 3427 W. National Ave.

To begin, Luvena and his family will offer Peruvian-style pork, chicken and turkey sandwiches.

"Eventually we will serve Peruvian dishes, too," he says.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com for more information about Mr. Sebass as it becomes available.
