Come on, MKE! We're all for calling a scoop a scoop, but when you're the third source to report a story, you no longer have "scooping" rights.

I was surprised to see that at 3:02 p.m. today, MKE posted an on-line article "We called it first: GN'R cancels" even though OnMilwaukee.com posted a blog at 12:29 p.m. that broke the same story. (For those of you not in the know, apparently Axl Rose has an ear infection and strep throat and had to cancel the Guns 'N Roses show scheduled at the Bradley Center this Wednesday night.)

The real kicker is that MKE was even scooped by their parent company. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported it on its Web site at 1:07 p.m. Communication is a beautiful thing, people.

And am I the only one who sees irony in the fact GN'R released an album in 1988 called "Lies?"
