In honor of the 80th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition, Esquire Network is airing an hour-long special called "Best Bars in America," and Milwaukee is one of the show's featured stops.
The episode follows comedians Sean Patton and Jay Larson as they travel the country exploring the nation's best bars – based on Esquire magazine's annual list – meeting the locals, trying out the local customs and, of course, sampling some tasty beverages. Milwaukee is one of the three cities highlighted on the special, alongside Chicago and San Francisco.
On their trip through Milwaukee, the hosts visited The Knight's Bar at Mader's for a beer from a boot, Holler House for some bowling, Bryant's for a classic Wisconsin Old Fashioned and Koz's Mini Bowl for a final round of bowling, this time of the duckpin variety.
"Best Bars in America" airs Thursday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. on the Esquire Network. For a sneak peek at the show, here's a link to the 30-second spot.
