Why you can't miss it
Greensky Bluegrass is not your average bluegrass band. Inspired by the Grateful Dead and Phish, they are more like a jam band with bluegrass instruments. The quintet creates live shows that are loud enough to rival a rock band, and their improvisational skills set them apart from other acts.
The icing on the cake is they write phenomenal songs. Guitarist Dave Bruzza and mandolinist Paul Hoffman have voices that cut through the noise. You’ll be wrapped around their lyrics from the first listen. Don’t miss the chance to end 2019 on a high note!
Song starter pack
The Hit: "Windshield"
Arguably their most popular song, "Windshield" showcases Greensky’s lyrical and emotional depth. The instrumentals are a catharsis for the words, and they will sweep you away.
B-Side Beauty: "Wish I Didn’t Know"
Off their newest album, "All for Money," this song lays an energetic sound over a tumultuous love story. The combo creates a playful feel even with lines like, "There you go saying those things that make me crazy/Here I am afraid to be alone."
Can't Wait to See it Live: "Living Over"
"Living Over" is going to be a jam live. The seven-minute song climaxes with a jaw-dropping dobro solo from Anders Beck. If we get the pleasure to see it, the dobro might become your new favorite instrument.
