In perhaps one of the more surprising results of the year’s "Best of Bars" survey, a dynasty came to an end in this category when BelAir Cantina, located at 1935 N. Water St. and 6817 W. North Ave., ended La Fuente’s five-year run as home to the Best Margarita in Milwaukee.

BelAir Cantina features seven margaritas all year long on its menu, as well as a seasonal version and a create-your-own, but the list is topped here by the signature "The BelAir," with Sauza Silver, Triple Sec, simple and fresh lime with a salted rim. You can also find flavors such as strawberry, ginger pear, cranberry mint, papaya jalapeno and "The Kahuna," which includes Corazon Anejo and Cointreau.

Conejito's also made a climb up the results ladder by finishing as the runner-up. The editors here at OnMilwaukee.com felt that Cempazuchi has a sneaky good margarita.
