Miller Brewing Co. is offering free rides for New Year’s Eve revelers in Milwaukee – and beyond – for the 35th year.

On Dec. 31 this year in Milwaukee, Miller again will offer free rides from 8 p.m. through 4 a.m.

Several popular routes, including the Connect 1 BRT, GreenLine, BlueLine (5th & Clybourn to Fond du Lac &
Constance/Hampton), PurpleLine (Bayshore to 27th & Loomis), and Routes 14, 18 (Broadway & Knapp-new layover to National & 79th-route 33 layover), 21, 24 and 30, will have extended service until 4 a.m.

Launched in Milwaukee in 1987, Miller Lite Free Rides has since been offered in cities like Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Phoenix and Louisville, too – nearly 30 communities across America.

In its first 34 years, the Miller Lite Free Rides partnership with transit systems around the country has provided safe passage home to more than 8 million people. That includes nearly a million in the Milwaukee area alone.

This year, free rides programs provided no-cost transit in nine cities during five holidays and major sporting events.

Free New Year's Eve transit rides are also being offered this year in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

“We look forward to collaborating with Molson Coors every holiday season to provide our community with the gift of free rides during the New Year’s festivities,” said MCTS Director of Marketing and Communications Kristina Hoffman.

“Through this collaboration, we are not only providing transportation; we are creating opportunities for unforgettable memories with friends and family."

“By partnering with MCTS, our hope is to not only provide free rides, but to foster a sense of community and responsibility as we collectively celebrate this new chapter.”
