The end times must be nigh: Our culture editor Matt Mueller is getting married.
Indeed, after years of watching others find love and get hitched on silly reality TV shows, it's Matt's turn at the altar – and unlike most of those "Bachelor" marriages, this one's actually going to last. But before our resident movie, TV, minor league baseball and junk food expert (truly, if he can find love, there's hope for us all out there) walks down the aisle, we're celebrating with a bachelor party – or a Mattchelor party, if you will. And you're all invited!
On Thursday, June 15, in honor of the big day, we're throwing Matt a Brew City bachelor party bar crawl with the help of Bars & Recreation. From 6-10 p.m., we'll hit three of Bars & Rec's locales and try out their famous interactive bar-ctivities for free, starting off at Amped to gather the group together and grab some grub. The party will then move on to chucking axes at AXE MKE and then sinking putts at Nine Below mini-golf, all before heading back to Amped one last time to sing and croon everyone off into the weekend (and send Matt off into more last-minute wedding planning stress).
Of course, it wouldn't be a bachelor party without some libations – so each stop will have a different free special Jack Daniel's drink to swig. To make sure nobody wakes up "The Hangover"-style with a person missing and a new Mike Tyson face tattoo, food will be provided during the Mattchelor Party as well, with Smoke Shack serving tasty eats at Amped to start the night and Pizza Shuttle serving up slices at the end. And to make sure everyone gets to and from the bars all well, THINKLimo will provide rides from all the stops.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
