It'd be tough for any organization to compete for attention with March Madness, but that was no problem for Greater Milwaukee Foundation's Match Day yesterday. The 24-hour online giving event – built around funds, support and awareness for nonprofit groups in southeastern Wisconsin – wound up raising $3,490,552 for its 20 food and shelter organizations.
Last year's Match Day also raised more than $3 million for food and shelter agencies in the Milwaukee area.
