While we all eagerly await a certain Summerfest announcement coming bright and early Thursday morning, here's some bonus lakefront concert news to whet your musical appetite until then: Stone Temple Pilots and Live will bring their co-headlining tour to the AmFam Amp on Saturday, Sept. 14.
The two popular rock groups are teaming up for the "Jubilee" tour, celebrating the 30th anniversaries of both Live's "Throwing Copper" and Stone Temple Pilots' "Purple." They'll be joined on the Milwaukee tour stop by opening act Soul Asylum.
The Milwaukee show will lead with Stone Temple Pilots, while the "Lightning Crashes" and "I Alone" hitmakers will close out the night.
Tickets for the rock double bill will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster as well as both bands' official websites. For more information on the show – including info on VIP ticket packages – check out Stone Temple Pilots' website and Live's website.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
