There's been a blizzard of snow and summer concert news this week. Summerfest revealed the Avett Brothers and Earth Wind & Fire for the BMO Pavilion, the Amp announced Pentatonix in August, and the State Fair divulged a trio of headliners: REO Speedwagon, Tommy James & The Shondells and, new today, star pop violinist Lindsey Stirling, who will take the Main Stage on Saturday, Aug. 12.
The innovative classical-meets-electronic musician and "America's Got Talent"/YouTube breakout star will be joined on her State Fair headliner gig by opening act Walk Off the Earth.
Tickets for the Main Stage show will go on sale beginning Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at the State Fair's website. Seating is all reserved at the concert, with tickets costing $39, $44 and $49. For more information, visit the State Fair's website.
And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more summer festival and concert updates.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
