According to a report from TMZ, rapper Lil Wayne's private jet from Milwaukee to California had to make an emergency landing this afternoon in Omaha, Neb., after the rapper suffered a seizure mid-flight.
On the ground, the report says Lil Wayne became alert again and refused medical support, but suffered another seizure shortly after the jet took off again, grounding the flight a second time. TMZ's most recent update says paramedics first treated him on the jet before transporting the rapper to a hospital by ambulance.
This is far from Lil Wayne's first bout with seizures. In 2012, back-to-back flights were reportedly grounded due to a pair of seizures. The following year, Wayne suffered a seizure attack that put him in the intensive care unit – with TMZ even reporting (and then deleting) that the rapper received his last rites.
In later interviews, Wayne blamed the seizures on epilepsy; however, the new TMZ report cites an Instagram video featuring the rapper drinking out of a double Styrofoam cup as evidence that he's drinking lean again – something he said he quit because of seizures in 2013.
Rapper Lil Wayne was in Milwaukee on Sunday night for a concert at the UWM Panther Arena with Jeezy.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
