Love means never having to say you're sorry – but Netflix, you better start apologizing for bouncing a bunch of great movies (and also "Grown Ups") in February. (Unless you have these films on physical media, which in that cases, you never have to worry about any of these announcements ever!)
Back to the point, though: The Big Red Streaming Monolith recently announced its list of departures for the month of love (and low temperatures, particularly here in the Midwest), and while the romances are mostly remaining – RIP "Chocolat" – the streamer wasn't as kind-hearted elsewhere. Oscar-winners "Dances with Wolves" and "Rain Man" will disappear just as this year's awards race is heating up, along with the excellent indie gems "Good Time" and "Edge of Seventeen." You'll also soon need a time machine if you want to catch the excellent retro classics "Terminator 2" and "Labyrinth" anymore on Netflix.
And that's just a taste of this anti-valentine getting dropped on subscribers next month by Netflix – which also recently bumped up its price by a dollar or two. Listen, "Red Notice" sequels cost money! (Not that you'd know on screen.) Anyways, with the Big Red Streaming Monolith having to invest more and more into its own blockbuster content rather than rely on outside productions, it won't be the last price jump – and it definitely won't be the only streaming service bumping up costs more and more. Enjoy your cable-esque future streaming bills!
