As the most recent "Great British Baking Show" serves up its final desserts, the show's earliest season will leave the Netflix tent. Yes, those eager to binge all the soggy bottoms from the Brit hit's maiden pastry voyages will have to do so before the end of December, according to the streaming service's newly announced batch of departures for the year's end.
And now for something completely different, we move from the nicest show on television to several soul-chilling horror movies also taking their final bow on Netflix while you're putting the bows on your presents – from the neon thriller "The Guest" to slow-burn chillers "It Comes at Night" and "The Strangers," to the wholly Oscar-snubbed masterpiece "Zodiac." Speaking of awards season, it'll be curtains next month for a whole stack of classics and nominees – including "The Theory of Everything," "American Gangster," "Titanic," "Pan's Labyrinth," "Ghost," "Gladiator" and more. Because if you're gonna watch anything Oscars-y this holiday season, Netflix is gonna make damn sure it's one of ITS contenders, dangit!
As for the rest of the Big Red Streaming Monolith's departures in December, here's the full list. Get to streaming them now while you still can. (At least on Netflix, that is; they're probably all available somewhere else too.)

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
