After 12-plus years of releasing CDs and LPs, Latest Flame Records and owner Dan Hanke announced this spring that the Milwaukee-based record company will cease releasing physical media and scaling back to solely focus on digital distribution methods. That doesn't mean, however, that the company isn't at least going out with a bang.
On Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24, Latest Flame Records will host a two-day farewell show at Club Garibaldi, featuring 14 of the label's favorite bands it supported over its dozen years of existence.
On the first day, the goodbye gig will present sets from We Are Hex, Nervous Curtains, System and Station/Last Giant, Body Futures and The Response – which will be reuniting in the fall. The second night will feature two more reunited Latest Flame favorites, Trouble Hubble and Police Teeth, along with The Gunshy, Trophy Wives, IfIHadAHiFi, WAXEATER, Testa Rosa, Heavy Hand and Karl J. Paloucek.
Throughout the entire weekend, Latest Flame Records will hold a fire sale of T-shirts, CDs and LPs.
