It’s always a great day for hockey. On Tuesday, it was announced that even more would return to Fiserv Forum next winter.

The fifth-annual Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off will take place at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 28th-29th, bringing together four elite men’s college hockey teams in Downtown Milwaukee.

Headlining the tournament is the three-time champion Wisconsin Badgers, joined by Boston College, Western Michigan, and Lake Superior State. The action kicks off Sunday, December 28th with semifinal games, followed by the Championship and third-place matchups on Monday, December 29th. Specific game pairings and ticket details will be released at a later date via the Fiserv Forum website.

The Badgers have won the tournament title three times, including last month’s dramatic 4-3 victory over UConn in the final. With a storied history that includes 26 NCAA Tournament appearances and six National Championships, Wisconsin remains a powerhouse in college hockey.

The rest of the field brings together teams from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (Western Michigan), Central Collegiate Hockey Association (Lake Superior State) and the Hockey East conference (Boston College). The Eagles are ranked second in the country as of the most recent poll, and the Broncos of Western Michigan are currently ranked #4 in the nation.
