You know when you can't find anything worthwhile on TV and you end up flipping through each channel you have available? Today is kind of like that.

So, here's an all-notes edition:

Set DVR for C-SPAN?: I know I wanted to remember, but I failed to head over to C-SPAN this weekend to record Jimmy Kimmel's hosting work for the 2012 White House Correspondents' Dinner.

The ABC late night talk show host delivered about 24 minutes worth of material, taking jabs at politicos, media members and celebrities from all sides of the spectrum.

Traditionally, the gathering has been a place to showcase highlights in news coverage and award student scholarships in journalism. But in the past few years, the night has become better known for wise-cracking presidents and comics to add a little levity to a usually tense and stress-filled atmosphere in Washington.

In case you missed it, here's Kimmel's monologue:

More songs: John Legend is heading to ABC's "Duets" to replace Lionel Richie. Richie recently dropped out of the summer show, citing scheduling conflicts. Legend will join "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland in the show, which pairs mentors with singers who will take the stage each week in hopes of landing a recording contract.

This isn't the first time that a Thicke is on ABC. Robin's father is Alan Thicke, who played the dad on "Growing Pains" and wrote the theme music for "The Facts of Life," "Diff'rent Strokes" and a number of other shows.

Home Box Office: The people at HBO have announced they are picking up two programs for a second season. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' political comedy "Veep," about a neurotic vice president who finds out the job isn't what she thought it would be, will air another 10 episodes. Also picked up is "Girls," starring Lena Dunham.

Kardashian Invasion "On Hold": Just when you thought the number of Kardashian shows were finally gearing down to only a mere few, TMZ.com reported today that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have not had their E! show canceled, but simply put on hold.

Odom, who played for the L.A. Lakers, was traded this past season to the Dallas Mavericks and then left the team. His NBA playing future, and – apparently – reality show deals are both up in the air.

Talking easier than acting?: For Whitney Cummings, the foray into sitcom land is still uncertain. "Whitney" on NBC is struggling in the ratings, and it is unknown if the peacock network will pick it up for another season. However, E! has signed Cummings up for a talk show that will air on Wednesday evenings.

In a statement, Cummings said that "Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings" will take her back to her stand-up roots. So, even if "Whitney" is canceled, she'll still have two shows on the air, this new talker and "2 Broke Girls," which she co-created and airs on CBS.
