For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Kanpai Sushi Lounge, in the former Nankusa space in the Third Ward, opened quietly this past August. The Japanese restaurant and bar offers sushi, maki rolls and Japanese-fusion small plates.

Recently Kanpai, 408 E. Chicago St., announced new happy hour specials, which include discounts on sushi rolls, tapas and drinks. The entire sushi menu is up to 50 percent off during happy hour.

Kanpai's happy hour specials are available Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. until close.
