For the fifth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2011."

Kafe Kultura opened quietly at the end of last week in the former Pedrano's space, 600 S. 6th St., in Walker's Point. The restaurant is serving dinner this week from 5 to 10 p.m. and starting next week, will add lunches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kafe Kultura serves Latin and South American food from Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Colombia. There are Caribbean dishes, as well. Dinners range in price from $8 to $14.

The space has been completely renovated and feels clean and spacious with wood floors, large photographs of Milwaukee on the walls and white tablecloths. The owner, Angel Velasquez, also owns Kana, 201 W. Mitchell St.

Stay tuned for a full review of Kafe Kultura on OnMilwaukee.com in the near future.
