Grammy-winning, Eau Claire-based Bon Iver, led by Justin Vernon, will play its first show in three years at the Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival, which is co-curated by Vernon and Aaron Dessner of The National. Bon Iver will headline the festival alongside The National and Sufjan Stevens.
Milwaukee's Field Report and Baraboo's PHOX are also on the ticket.
Here's a message from Vernon that was posted today on the festival's website:
"We at Eaux Claires have been driven by the idea that our festival would encourage music-genre-walls to melt away," Vernon stated. "That the barriers between the stage and the audience altered, and expression and experience put above all. We have put so much thought into who should collaborate at this festival, from musicians to actors, filmmakers to visual artists. We will all share and revel in this collision of artistic force while performing in the arms of our own Chippewa River Valley."
