You'll get an '80s flashback with your Fourth of July fireworks this summer, as Def Leppard and Journey today confirmed a joint tour – complete with a stop at Summerfest as the festival's American Family Insurance Amphitheater headliners on Independence Day. 

The two legendary groups announced this morning a 58-city North American tour, blowing the roofs off stadiums and arenas across the country with their iconic rock hits like "Pour Some Sugar On Me," "Rock of Ages," "Lights" and, of course, "Don't Stop Believin'." 

Def Leppard is definitely no stranger to Milwaukee – and especially Summerfest, having just played the Big Gig in 2016, a show that managed to entertain even very-lukewarm Leppard fan Bobby Tanzilo. "Have I been converted into a Def Leppard fan? Not really," he wrote after the headlining concert, "but I've found a new respect for this hardworking band that turned in a high-energy, roughly 90-minute performance on night number seven of the Big Gig."

Meanwhile, Journey also had a recent visit to the Summerfest grounds, hitting the BMO Harris Pavilion in 2014. 

Tickets will go on sale for the combo headliner show starting Saturday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. on LiveNation.com, Summerfest.com and Ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Summerfest box office, at Ticketmaster ticket centers and select Walmart stores, as well as by phone at 1-800-745-3000 (for a live Ticketmaster agent) or 1-866-448-7849 (for the "Ticketmaster Express" automated phone line). More information on pre-sales and VIP tickets is still to come. 

The two rockers join Summerfest's genre-hopping – and very much still growing – headliner lineup including Top 40 stars Halsey and Logic, classic singer-songwriter James Taylor, country hitmakers Florida Georgia Line and jam band legends Dave Matthews Band.
