We all know and love "A Christmas Story." It's one of those hilarious classics that has integrated itself into just about everyone's annual viewing schedule.
The Boulevard Theater's latest production, "Indian Blood," written by A.R. Gurney and directed by Mark Bucher, is described as "a tender, hilarious holiday remembrance that rivals the beloved film, 'A Christmas Story'."
This autobiographical play presents an upper-class WASP family living in Buffalo in 1946. In addition to its funny and truthful portrait of each family member, Indian Blood shows us a social world on the cusp of change in a city on the verge of decline.
And just in time for the pre-holiday hubbub, too. "Indian Blood," staring Maureen Dornemann, Sandra A. Stark, Caitlin Kujawski, Jaime Jastrab, Mark Ninneman, Mark R. Neufang, Joe Redemann, and Hugh Blewett, runs Wednesday, Nov. 14 though Sunday, Dec. 2. Tickets, like all Boulevard shows, are $20.
