Downtown Milwaukee will be spruced up this holiday season with window displays in storefronts in an effort called Wish List MKE.
The campaign is being done in conjunction with Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 and Retailworks, Inc. in an effort to promote shopping locally this holiday season and to showcase the city's available commercial lease spaces. The decorations can be found at five vacant window locations throughout Downtown, including:
- Fyxation Bicycle Company, Germania Building, 135 W. Wells Street
- Linda Marcus Design, The Iron Block Building, 205 E. Wisconsin Avenue
- The Mini Classy, The Iron Block Building, 205 E. Wisconsin Avenue
- Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival Ornament Collection, 759 N. Water Street
- Wander & Co., Colby Abbot Building, 579 N. Water Street
In addition, Milwaukee’s very own Billie the Brownie will be popping up at 12 existing storefronts across Downtown. If you spot Billie, take a picture and post it using #mkeholidaylights and you will be entered to win great prizes.
