The Haggerty Museum of Art on the campus of Marquette University will reopen for visits by members of the public on Tuesday, May 18. The museum will be open from Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Capacity is limited, and advance reservations are required. Patrons are asked to call (414) 288-1669 or to contact the museum at haggertym@marquette.edu ahead of their visit to check availability, and to secure their spots.
Haggerty Museum of Art Director and Chief Curator Susan Longhenry states, "The Haggerty has been actively engaging Marquette University students since last August, and we've conducted many online programs for community members. However, there is no substitute for in-person experiences with original works of art. We're thrilled to fully re-activate the Haggerty as the place where creativity, intellect, and social justice intersect for all members of our communities."
All museum visitors will be required to wear face masks while on Marquette University's campus, both indoors and outdoors. Disposable masks will be provided to Haggerty Museum of Art visitors who do not have their own face coverings. Patrons are asked to please stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, or if they have had contact with anyone who has tested positive or is a presumptive positive for COVID-19. All Haggerty Museum of Art visitors must maintain a six-foot distance from one another, and from museum staff members, unless they arrived together.

Exploring the Core: Crossing Boundaries: The Movement of People, Goods and Ideas
Marquette faculty from all over campus who teach courses in the Crossing Boundaries theme from Marquette's Core Curriculum have curated pairs of images that address, explore, and challenge our notions of boundaries.
Crossing Boundaries: Comm 2500
Crossing Boundaries: Comm 2500 features photographs from diverse locales by contemporary artists Stella Johnson, Jason Larkin, Alec Soth, and Mila Teshaieva. The exhibition was created to facilitate a content analysis assignment for COMM 2500, a research methods class led by Dr. James Pokrywczynski.
