The somehow not Best Original Song nominee "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from "Encanto" has taken over the music charts and the world's mental soundtracks. There's just one problem with the delightful earworm: There's no Giannis Antetokounmpo in it.
Consider that one fatal flaw amended, though, with the help of YouTube creator Justin Wills, who crafted this incredible parody of the Disney hit tune, replacing the Madrigals with all of the NBA superstars left broken-hearted and defeated by the Greek Freak last postseason on his way to the NBA Finals, the championship stage and a very lucky Chick-fil-A.
Take a watch for yourself and enjoy getting this song stuck in your head all over again. (I'm so sorry – but also I'm not sorry at all.)
I didn't know how much I needed to see Chris Paul singing lamentations about getting dunked on in Game 5 – but now I don't know how I lived my life without it before. Also: Is it weird that I started tearing up a bit at Khris Middleton holding the Larry O'Brien trophy, singing about how the life of his dreams would be promised and someday be mine?
Anyways, Giannis and the Bucks – currently sitting in third place in the East, two games back of the conference-leading Chicago Bulls – take the Fiserv Forum court tonight at 7:30 p.m. to take on the rival Philadelphia 76ers. I insist that the arena play at least the James Harden verse during a timeout.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
