This week, the Brewers played their first home game at American Family Field. In celebration of the beginning of baseball season, Georgie Porgie’s Treefort Restaurant has announced the release of two new baseball-themed items (and a bonus favorite shake), which will be on offer through the end of April at both their Oak Creek and Racine locations.
“We wanted to create a menu that captures the excitement and nostalgia of baseball season,” notes Georgie Porgie’s Treefort Restaurant co-owner, Peter Liapis. “Our Loaded Brat Burger and Batter Up Sundae are designed to bring the flavors of the ballpark to our guests in a fun and delicious way.”
First up is the Burger of the Month: The Loaded Brat Burger. This creation features the restaurant’s signature burger topped with a Wisconsin bratwurst patty, housemade Wisconsin beer cheese sauce and fried onions. All are served on guests’ choice of a locally-baked bun (Milwaukee’s famous Pretzilla bun is highly recommended).
On the sweeter side is the Batter Up Sundae, a grand slam of a dessert featuring housemade vanilla custard topped with yellow cake pieces, blue moon cream, festive blue and yellow sprinkles, whipped cream and a novelty baseball candy.
Guests will also be excited to note that the oh-so-Wisconsin Blue Moon Shakes are also back for a limited time. This nostalgic flavor is creamy, fruity and vaguely marshmallow-y. And, while the flavor profile is often contested, many fans say it tastes a bit like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of Fruity Pebbles cereal.
The baseball-themed menu will be available at both Georgie Porgie’s Treefort Restaurant locations through April 30. For more information, visit georgieporgies.com.
