Did you miss Parliament-Funkadelic at The Pabst Theater last February? Well, you've got just one more chance to see the iconic George Clinton take the stage with his fellow funk masters, as Clinton will actually give up the funk this year, launching his farewell tour with the famed band at the Miller High Life Theatre on Thursday, May 30.
Joining Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic on their final tandem trip will be Galactic, Fishbone and Miss Velvet & The Blue Wolf.
For more than half a century, P-Funk and George Clinton have been one-of-a-kind musical pioneers, combining rock, hip-hop and funk into their own crazed, colorful, psychedelic good time with hits like "Give Up the Funk," "Flash Light" and "One Nation Under a Groove" – the song that gives this pre-retirement tour its name.
In 1997, both Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this upcoming Sunday, the duo will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Grammys.
